How to upload apps to the Samsung store

Submitting apps to the Samsung TV seller office may be complicated process. This guide will help you submit your application in a way that will minimize the chances of delay or rejection.

 

Log in to your Samsung seller office, then go to the applications and click +Create App

Applications > Create app

  1. Application Name for management: type the name of the app
  2. App type: Tizen Web Application 
  3. Default Language: English

Click DONE

Applications > App Package > Upload Package

  1. Upload App Package: Click “Choose a file”

Click DONE


  1. When the pre-testing process is finished you should see2. Pre-Test: Pass
  2. Review the app information 
  3. Share App Source with Members?  YES

Click DONE

Confirmation
“Are you sure to add this app package? Click Confirm

Applications> App Images

Required assets:

  • Icon images:
    1. 1920X1080 icon:
    Logo asset with transparency, 1920x1080 pixel 32bit, PNG(RGBA) with 300kb

Background image, 1920x1080 pixel 24bit, PNG(RGBA) or JPG with 300kb

(16:9 and 1:1 full-color assets will be auto-generated)

Example:

another option: use a completely transparent image in “logo asset with transparency” and a 1920x1080 icon in “Background image”


2. 512x423 Icon: Full-Color Asset, 512x423 pixel PNG with 300kb

  • Screenshots Images: 1280x720 or 1920x1080 pixel JPG with 500kb (4 screenshots required)

2. Rating: Choose the appropriate rating 

3. Language: English

4. Collect Personal Information of your user in this application? YES

  • URL of Privacy Policy in English: Privacy Policy URL
  • URL of Privacy Policy in Korean: Privacy Policy URL

Did you check ‘App Development Privacy Guide’? YES 

  1. Seller Information: Fill in all required fields

Applications > Title/Description on TV

Fill in the required fields- App Title, Description, and Tags
NOTE: App title should match the <name>xxxx<name> in config.xml 

Click SAVE

Applications > Service Country/Region

1. Rating Certification: no change

2. Service Country or Region: choose ALL except Brazil, China, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Korea, Lebanon, Palestinian Territory, Syrian Arab republic

Click SAVE

Applications > Billing Info

Choose FREE

Click SAVE

Applications > App Feature Info

Choose NOT APPLICABLE 

Click SAVE

Applications > Verification Info

1. App Description File: upload a PPTX file describing the application (template)

2. Geo IP Block: Unuse

3. Test Account: write “No need

4. Voucher Code: write “No need

Click SAVE

Applications < Distribute

Click +Requeast new release

Applications> Distribute > App Service > Request New Release

1. Select App Version to Release - mark the relevant package

2. Select Model Group to be Released the App Version: BrightSDK is working on Tizen 6.5 and above.

3. Enter Release Information:

  • What's new in this version: add release notes, note: these notes are visible to users 
  • Is mandatory update required for this version? Optional (Even if user rejects an update, they can still continue to use current version)
  • Note for Tester (include what's new): add notes to the tester
  • Agree to release your application with minor defects? Yes

Click NEXT
